Protecting open space areas ( i.e. Warren Woods, State Parks, Valentine Estate, Town Forest, etc.) serves a myriad of advantages to supporting a sustainable community including: reduced traffic and congestion, water recharge, reducing carbon from the air, saving tax revenue by reduction of town services needed to support new develpment, and creation of wildlife corridors.
